Pet Sematary House Up For Sale
Article by Aaron Haughton
A spooky listing popped up recently for a "storied house with a thrilling past" in Orrington, Maine.
Okay, so, it's not the actual house they used to shoot the film adaptation of Pet Sematary, but it is the house that King himself lived in when writing his famed novel. That should be interesting enough, right? For the acreage and the spacious house, it's listed at a decent price of 225k. Even though no reanimated children may've inhabited the home, King's daughter's cat did die there, and there is an actual pet cemetery behind the house, so the parallels are there.
It seems very possible, after an interview with the Toronto Sun that IT director Andy Muschietti expressed his desire to take on a Pet Sematary adaptation after concluded the 2 part IT. “[My wife and I are] huge fans of Pet Sematary,” Muschietti told the paper. “If we can get our hands on that and do the Pet Sematary we want to do, that will be something. One day, maybe.”
We think it'd probably make a nice, nuanced set piece if Muschietti and his wife wanted to snatch it up and use it for their next adaptation, if it gets green lit.
What do you think? Are you gonna move to Maine now? Do you think it'd be creepy to live in the house? We want to know. Share your thoughts and feelings in the comments section below, and, as always, remember to viddy well!
