It's been a busy week for Viddy Well. In case you missed it, here's a rundown of these week's articles, reviews and news.
To help you beat the Monday blues, we present you with a film that will make you feel better about your long day. You may be tired after a hard Monday grind, but just remember: it could always be worse. This Monday, we took a look at Planes, Trains And Automobiles. Full article here.
News trickled down this past Tuesday regarding Quentin Tarantino's latest project, which will be a true crime story centering around the Manson Family murders. Specifically, (the rumors say) the Sharon Tate murders. See our full story here.
Our review of Sophia Coppola's The Beguiled hit social media sites Wednesday. On the whole, it's a fairly enjoyable film containing top notch performances, but the story fizzles toward the end and the direction is a bit stale. We'd still recommend you give it a watch, but if you're not enticed by the full review here, you may wanna sit this one out until streaming or VOD.
Our write-up about Neil Blomkamp's latest Oats Studios short hit social media Thursday. The latest work is titled Zygote, and feels like the third act to something bigger. You can check out the full 20 minute short via our full article here.
On Friday, we welcomed the weekend with two posts; one for you party-centric motherfuckers, and one for you heady intellectual cats. Check out our write-up on this very badass one-of-a-kind Alien-inspired xenomorph party fountain here, and see how our contributors tackle the big question of why cinema is important here.
